Privacy Policy

Sam’s Language Lab (the “App”) is operated by Samuel Victorio Junior in Brasil (“we”). This policy explains what information the App handles and why.

Information we handle

• Account information: sign-in identifier, provider information, display name and profile image when supplied by Apple, Google or Firebase Authentication.
• Learning data: lesson progress, review history, streak and preferences stored on the device. We will update this policy before enabling cloud progress sync.
• Teacher Tools: the teaching context entered by a teacher is sent securely to our protected service and Google’s generative-AI service to produce a requested draft. Do not enter learner names or identifying information.
• Translation and speech: translation uses platform translation services. Speaking recordings are created for local replay and are not uploaded in the current release.
• Human feedback: written work, related instructions and our feedback are processed when the user purchases and requests this service.
• Purchases: Apple or Google processes payment details. We receive product and entitlement information, not full card details.
• Notifications: optional learning reminders are scheduled after permission is granted.

Why we use it

To authenticate users, provide requested features, remember progress, fulfil human-feedback orders, restore purchases, prevent abuse and answer support, privacy or deletion requests.

Providers and international processing

We use Apple and Google platform services, Firebase, Google Cloud and Google’s generative-AI service. These providers may process information outside Brasil under their applicable privacy safeguards.

Retention and deletion

Local learning data remains until the App or its data is removed. Authentication records remain until the account is deleted. Human-feedback submissions and delivered feedback are retained for no more than 90 days after delivery, then deleted unless a longer period is required for a payment dispute, fraud prevention or law. Operational and security logs are retained only as reasonably necessary for security and service operation.

Users can request account and data deletion through Account & Security or by email.

Adults only

The current product is intended for adults aged 18 or over and is not directed to children. Do not submit a child’s personal information.

Security and rights

We use HTTPS transport, platform authentication and available App Check protections. Depending on location, users may request access, correction, portability or deletion, or object to certain processing.

Changes

Material changes will be reflected here with a revised effective date.
